Lightheart Properties believes in supporting local communities. The late Terry Lightheart founded Lightheart Properties and other related companies throughout his lifetime. He believed in supporting people and communities in the lower mainland. Terry had a dream for his legacy to continue giving after his passing. His Trustees established the Lightheart Foundation to make an ongoing positive impact on future generations after his passing in 2016. Lightheart Properties and Affiliate Darby’s Hospitality (Darby’s Pub and Liquor Store ave funded the Lightheart Foundation with millions of dollars to help support important initiatives focused on strengthening our communities. The Lightheart Brothers
At the turn of the century, six, Lightheart brothers, ended up living in Vancouver and all of them were involved in construction and development. From 1901 through 1931 the family built a substantial number of buildings in Vancouver of which many still remain today.
